COMPOSITE SHEET AND PROCESS FOR TRANSFER OF AN IMAGE FROM SAME TO A SUBSTRATE

Decal support sheets, decals, and process for transfer of an image to a substrate. No release layer is interposed between the paper sheet base and the plastic film of the support sheet. The plastic film is applied to the paper base so that it adheres well to the porous surface of the paper and adopts its texture but does not penetrate it. When the decal is soaked in water the adhesion between paper base and plastic film is substantially released but they can withstand substantial horizonal forces without separating.
