PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition excellent in weather resistance and reduced in the emission of volatiles in a molten state during extrusion or injection molding or in long-term service by adding a specified resin to a thermoplastic resin. CONSTITUTION:The resin composition comprises a thermoplastic resin (e.g. PVC) and an ultraviolet-absorbing polycarbonate resin, desirably a copolycarbonate resin comprising structural units of formulas I and II, wherein A is 1-10C alkylidene, aryl-substituted alkylene, arylene, O, S, CO or SO2; R<1> to R<8> are each H, halogen, alkyl, aryl, aralkyl, alkoxyl, aryloxy or aralkyloxy; and B is a direct bond; alkylidene, aryl-substituted alkylene, arylene, O, S, CO, SO2 or -R9-X-R<10>-Y-R<11>- wherein R<9> to R<11> are each a direct bond, alkylidene, aryl-substituted alkylene or arylene; and X and Y are each a direct bond or an ester bond provided that at least one of them is an ester bond. |
