PURPOSE:To impart a sufficient light weight and freezing damage resistance without deteriorating homogeneity in strength in the production of a ceramic lightweight building material. CONSTITUTION:A mixture consists of the inorg. powder material such as cement, quartz sand and fly ash in a ratio necessary to produce a ceramic lightweight building material, an inorg. foaming aggregate such as perlite and a reinforcing fiber. An unfoamed thermoplastic synthetic resin grain having 0.15-1.2mm diameter is added by 0.1-5.0wt.%, based on the total amt. of the inorg. materials mixture. The admixture is uniformly mixed, water is added to the admixture, and the admixture is shaped, aged and cured by high-temp. steam. The grains are uniformly mixed with the cement slurry because of the synergistic effect of the small diameter of the grain and the unfoamed grain, and the grains are melted by the ageing heat and decomposed to form a coating layer on the inner surface of the pore. |
