A novel optically active allyl alcohol derivative represented by the following general formulae (I), (II), (III) and (IV) : <IMG> (I) <IMG> (II) <IMG> (III) <IMG> (IV) The novel optically active allyl alcohol can be used effectively for producing leucotrienes B4 by the process of reacting an optically active halogen substituted allyl alcohol and a novel optically active acetylene-substituted allyl alcohol.
