<p>PURPOSE:To obtain 3-aminomethyl-3,5,5,-trimethylcyclohexylamine in a high yield, while reducing the by-production of an amino alcohol, etc., in a two step method comprising the steps of iminating 3-cyano-3,5,5- trimethylcyclohexanone with ammonia and reducing the imination product. CONSTITUTION:3-Cyano-3,5,5-trimethylcyclohexanone is reacted with ammonia in the presence of a H-mordenite catalyst, and subsequently the reaction product solution is reacted with hydrogen gas in the coexistence of ammonia and a reduced cobalt catalyst supported on diatomaceous earth.</p> |
