PURPOSE:To obtain the treated rice not causing the peeling of a gold leaf from its surface until boiled, and excellent in its commercial value by coating an edible paste on the surface of the rice, adhering a gold leaf to the coated surface, dehumidifying and drying the rice at a low temperature, sterilizing the rice at a high temperature, and subsequently cooling the heated rice. CONSTITUTION:The production of the objective treated rice comprises coating an edible paste on the surface of rice, adhering a gold leaf to the coated rice with a pressure of e.g. 3-6kg/cm<2>, defumidifying and drying the rice at a low temperature, sterilizing the rice at a high temperature, cooling the heated rice, and preferably vacuum-packing the rice in a bag. |
