<p>PURPOSE:To provide an apparatus capable of retaining freshness of vegetables for a definite period. CONSTITUTION:Vegetables to be retained its freshness is housed and retained in a housing part 1, and a solution containing a nourishment necessary for the growth of the vegetables stored in a solution storage tank 39 is jetted to the roots of the vegetable by a pump 5 or a nozzle 9 to feed the nourishment in the solution to these vegetables. The solution stored in the housing part 1 is filtered and sterilized by a filtering device 12 and sterilizer 13 and returned to the solution storage tank 3 and then is re-blown to vegetables from the nozzle 9. Preferably, a cooler 15 and a heater 17 for adjusting solution temperature are provided in the solution storage tank 3 so that vegetables may slowly grow also even in a storage chamber whose temperature is not controlled to retain freshness of the vegetables.</p> |
