PURPOSE:To provide the pad of an air bag device capable of preventing the scattering of the portion between an expected rupture section and a side wall section when an air bag is expanded. CONSTITUTION:A pad 10 is provided with an upper wall section 11 and a side wall section 17 extended downward from the periphery of the upper wall section 11 to cover the surrounding of an air bag 1. The upper wall section 11 is formed with a cover section 13 breaking and opening an expected rupture section 16 on the periphery when the air bag 1 is expanded. Triangular plate-like ribs 19 vertically extended from the side wall section 17 to this side of the expected rupture section 16 are integrally formed on the upper wall section 11 and the side wall section 17. |
