PURPOSE:To improve the manufacturing efficiency of a molding material by generating static in glass fibers, carrying out fibrillation efficiently and dispersing the fibers, and then applying thermoplastic resin for coating. CONSTITUTION:Static is generated in four glass fiber roving bundles by the friction of a roll 1 with fibers, and the bundles are dispersed by the repulsion of respective statics. Further the dispersion is carried out efficiently by providing the quick and slow variation by means of a driving roller 3 with notch in the axial direction. Fibrillated fibers are coated with thermoplastic resin by a coating die 8 of an extruder 10 and dried by a drying part 7. Every respective fiber is coated with resin by the arrangement. A molded product of superior physical properties, therefore, can be molded by using the glass fiber reinforced thermoplastic molding material. |
