PURPOSE:To effectively prevent unpleasant vibration and noise at the time or rotating a tire by recessing a tread surface radially inward of the tire at positions of a vulcanizing molding finished state at an interval in a circumferential direction of the tire. CONSTITUTION:A pneumatic tire to be vulcanizing molded by a sector mold has surface recesses 3 radially inward of the tire at positions corresponding to circumferential ends of circular segments 2 indicated by imaginary lines of a tread 1 in such a manner that the recesses 3 are so formed as to be disposed at a predetermined interval in a circumferential direction of the tire. The tread surface is recessed in this manner in a vulcanizing molded state thereby to intentionally reduce a thickness of the tread 1 which tends to originally increase in thickness of tread rubber from the tread surface, and a thickness and mass of the tread rubber can be made sufficiently uniform in the circumferential direction of the tire. |
