摘要 PURPOSE:To improve an anti-skid property and a driving force by setting the land edge at the stepping-in side of a ground contacting surface longer than the land edge at the kicking-off side of the ground contacting surface in a block width along the direction of the tread width of the land part. CONSTITUTION:The land part 4 of a tread is shaped generally squarely such that the length of a block along the tread circumference in the posture of a tire attached to a vehicle has the land edge L1 outside the vehicle substantially longer than the land edge L2 inside the vehicle and the width of the block along the direction of width of the tread has the land edge W1 at the steppin-in side of the ground contacting surface of tire longer than the land edge W2 at the kicking-off side of the ground contacting surface of tire. The land part is formed of the land edge L1, L2, W1, W2 and preferably an angle of the land edge L1 to the surface including the tread circumference is about -10 deg. to about + 10 deg., that of the land edge L2 is about 5 deg. to about 30 deg., that of the land edge W1 to a plane including the rotational axis of the tire is about -10 deg. to about +10 deg. and that of the land edge W2 is about 5 deg. to about 20 deg..
