PURPOSE:To allow the transfer and absorption of the sodium or potassium salt of tyrosine diiodide into water-cultured vegetables, bean sprouts, body and egg of bird or body of fresh-water fish and finally accumulate in the form of tyrosine or tyroxine diiodide. CONSTITUTION:The iodine in an iodine-containing egg was analyzed to clarify the existence of iodine in the yolk in the form of tyrosine or tyroxine diiodide. It has been found that the tyrosine diiodide is incorporated into a plant body when tyrosine diiodide is synthesized and added at a prescribed rate in the form of a water-soluble alkali salt to the aqueous solution for the sowing of water-culture vegetables such as white radish sprout and KOMATSUNA (a kind of Chinese cabbage) or soybean sprout. Similarly to the above, tyrosine and tyroxine diiodides were accumulated in the body and yolk of bird and in the body of fish by feeding chicken and carp with feed added with a prescribed amount of the water-soluble salt of tyrosine diiodide. |
