PURPOSE:To provide a metal-containing silicate suitable for a waste gas purifying catalyst and having good NOx purifying properties. CONSTITUTION:To prepare a metal-containing silicate by hydrothermal synthesis, gel 2, which is a precursor of a metal-containing silicate, is put in an autoclave 3 at 1:(1.5-4) ratio of the gel 2 volume to the space 3a of the autoclave 3 and then hydrothermal synthesis is carried out. As a result, since proper gas-liquid equilibrium of water for crystal growth of a metal-containing silicate is produced in the autoclave 3, sufficient properties as a NOx purifying catalsyt are provided to the metal-containing silicate. |
