PURPOSE:To provide an occupant protective device of a vehicle having a simple structure and a low production cost. CONSTITUTION:When an automobile has a side collision, an occupant hits a gas bag 22. The gas pressure in the gas bag 22 rises, a relief valve 24 is pressed by the gas pressure and opened, and the gas in the gas bag 22 flows to the outside of the gas bag 22. The shock generated when the occupant hits the gas bag 22 is damped. The gas bag 22 is filled with gas in advance, and the gas bag 22 is not required to be deployed at the time of a side collision. A large-capacity bag can be arranged in a wide area inside a door, and the occupant can be thoroughly protected regardless of the posture of the occupant. |
