A method for deodorizing flue gas, in with the flue gas is conducted through a bio filter. Said bio filter consists of a carrier material, which includes an inorganic part and preferably also an organic part. At least the organic part is sterilized whereupon selected biological organisms with specific characteristics are added to the carrier material. By sterilizing the carrier material and subsequently adding biological organisms with specific characteristics, preferably microorganisms, a very high effectiveness is obtained in the bio filter since no undesirable organisms are present in the filter substance. |
