DEVICE FOR FORMING FILM ON DISK

PURPOSE:To improve the ability of a device for forming film on an optical disk by a method wherein the disk is retained on a turntable for coating with a film forming liquid and is transferred to the adjacent intermittently rotatable turntable to undergo film hardening process. CONSTITUTION:A stack pole 3 having a disk loaded thereon is carried by a conveyor 2 and the disk is removed therefrom by a disk picking device 4 and sent to rotating transfer arms 8A and 8B via conveyors 5 and 6. The disk is moved onto the disk receiving supports 9 and 10 on a turntable 7 and further moved in the position of a film forming liquid discharge nozzle by the intermittent rotation of the turntable 7, whereby the disk is coated with the film forming liquid discharged from the nozzle. By further rotation of the turntable and by means of rotating transfer arms 19 and 20, the disk is moved to spinners 17 and 20 and film on the disk is elongated by the centrifugal force thereof. The disk is moved onto the disk receiving supports 22 and 23 on a second turntable 21 by means of rotating transfer arms 24 and 25 and sent to a film hardening device 26 to harden the film. The disk is taken out onto the conveyor 6 by a rotating transfer arm 27.
