PURPOSE:To improve operability and prevent the easy release of a brake due to accidental force by arranging a control spring increasing the engaging face load between a pole and ratchet teeth when an operating lever is rotated between the operating lever and the floor. CONSTITUTION:In a floor type parking brake operating device, a parking brake is operated by the tractive force of a brake operating wire 15 applied when an operating lever 13 is rotated upward around a pin 14, and the brake operation state is maintained by the engagement between a pole 21 and ratchet teeth 11a formed on a sector 11. A control spring 30 is provided between the operating lever 13 and the floor 12. The spring action direction of the spring 30 is reversed when the operating lever 13 is operated to the position of the reference line L, the engaging face load between the pole 21 and the ratchet teeth 11a is increased in response to the action quantity in the brake release direction, and the engaging face load is decreased in response to the action quantity in the reverse direction. |
