PURPOSE:To reset rear wheels into the neutral positions even at the abnormal time of a control unit without using a return spring. CONSTITUTION:A rear wheel steering system is provided with a rear wheel steering mechanism controlled by motors M1, M2; motor drivers 5, 6 for driving the motors M1, M2; a first microprocessor 1 connected to the motor drivers 5, 6 through relays 7, 8; a second microprocessor 2 performing the same operation as the first microprocessor 1; and a backup microprocessor 3 capable of controlling the motor drivers 5, 6 through the relays 7, 8. The operation results of the first and second microprocessors 1, 2 are relatively compared to judge abnormality, and at the abnormal time, rear wheel steering mechanism is steered by the backup microprocessor 3 to reset rear wheels into the neutral positions. |
