The machine displaces volume by means of pistons that are connected to a driveshaft without oscillating connecting rods. Cylinders are disposed in a rotating cylinder block that rotates on an axis inclined to the axis of rotation of the pistons. A spherical member centers the driveshaft with respect to the cylinder block, and a biasing means urges the cylinder block against a bearing surface. Displacement may be varied by varying the angle of inclination of the two axes of rotation. |
