METHOD FOR SHAPING UPSET PART AND DEVICE FOR BENDING THE SAME

PURPOSE: To provide a bending machine capable of forming a bent wire or pipe having at least one upset portion by a cost effective method and a bending method therefor. CONSTITUTION: This method consists in forming the bent wire or pipe piece 5 having the at least integral upset portion by the bending machine. The piece 5 is clamped at one end 26 by clamping collar parts 8 and 9 engaging in a transverse direction within the bending machine. The upset portion is molded by upsetting the one end of the piece 5 to the clamping collar parts. The bending machine is provided with a clamping device having the clamping collar parts 8 and 9 which are attachable and detachable to and from each in the direction orthogonal with a transporting shaft in a transporting direction (S) behind the transporting means and is provided with at least one upsetting tool (W) behind the clamping collar parts 8 and 9. The machine is provided with the upsetting tool and/or the clamping device movably toward the transporting shaft within the machine.
