PURPOSE:To provide ink-jet recording paper which is superior in color development, uniformity in dots and absorption of ink, by a method wherein an ink receiving coating layer is provided at a low coating quantity by making use of stencil paper which is obtained by size-pressing a specific sizing liquid. CONSTITUTION:An ink receiving coating layer consisting mainly of a white pigment and aqueous polymeric adhesive is provided on one side of base paper to be obtained by performing size-treatment of stencil paper consisting mainly of broad leaved tree bleached pulp and needle leaved tree bleached pulp by a mixed solution of the aqueous polymeric adhesive with a styrene-acrylic copolymer or styrene-maleic acid copolymer as a surface sizing agent. Since the same is not only superior in absorption of ink but also uniform absorption of the ink is obtainable, homogeneous and excellent color development and a form of the dots are possessed and high-speed ink-jet printing is made possible. |
