There is disclosed a silver halide color photographic material comprising a photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer that contains an acylacetamide yellow dye-forming coupler whose acyl group is represented by formula (I) and a high-boiling organic solvent, wherein the weight ratio of the high-boiling solvent to the coupler contained in said layer is 0.3 or below. Formula (I) wherein R1 represents a monovalent group, Q represents a group of nonmetallic atoms required to form together with C a 3- to 5-membered hydrocarbon ring or a 3- to 5-membered heterocyclic ring that contains a hetero atom selected from the group consisting of N, O, S, and P, provided that R1 is not a hydrogen atom and it does not bond to Q to form a ring.
