METHOD OF RIGID TUBE LINING ON INSIDE OF EXISTING PIPE UNDER FLOWING WATER

PURPOSE:To constitute the method so that a rigid tube lining can be formed directly without necessitating still water treatment to the inside of an existing pipe which is under a running water condition, by a method wherein a matter which has slightly smaller bore than a pipe and is processed flat is used as the rigid tube, after insertion of the same into the pipe, the same is restored to the original sectional form by heating and pressurizing. CONSTITUTION:A rigid tube 2 is made of thermoplastic and the outer diameter is made slightly smaller than the inner diameter of an existing pipe 1. The rigid tube 2 is processed flat by application of a heating and pressurizing roll and inserted within the existing pipe 1 under a condition wherein a sectional form is contracted by applying a normal device such as pulling-in by a wire 3 to the title technique. After both ends of the tube 2 are provided with plugs 5, 5', steam is supplied within the tube 2 through a supply port 6 of the one side plug 5 and a supply line 7 joining to the supply port 6. The steam is discharged through a discharge port 8 of the other side plug 5' and a discharge line 9 joining to the discharge port 8.
