The float has a hollow part for ballast water taken through a siphon comprising a reservoir (63), a first conduit (71) for air evacuation and a second conduit (60) for filling and emptying. The first conduit (71) is a tube which slides in an opening (61) in the top part of the floater wall and allows adjustment of the quantity of water able to be introduced in the reservoir. The second conduit (60) is an inverted U tube one branch of which (64) is longer than the other (66). The branch (64) passes through the reservoir wall with its lower end (65) discharging outside and the other (66) discharges in the lower part of the reservoir. USE/ADVANTAGE - Variable buoyancy fishing line float used especially with live bait. Has design permitting an increase in weight of float by water introduction to achieve a weight slightly greater than the weight of the water that it displaces.This water introduction results in baiting of fish under effect of a light immersion fleeting provoked by a touch of fish. The design also permits a reduction of weight of the float to come back to its original weight.This reduction obtained by evacuation of water under effect of its emersion by traction on the line.
