The cutter is made from a steel strip (12) with one edge sharpened and its two ends joined together. The strip is bent into the required shape and fastened to a panel, of wood. After the panel has been cut to the required shape, a series of recesses are cut in its edge to receive T-shaped metal inserts (14) to which the strip can then be joined, esp. by welding. In a variant of the design the panel can be made from steel and plastic. USE/ADVANTAGE - Used for cutting out motor vehicle interior trim and seat covering material components. The amount of waste is reduced. |
