PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of a latch device by integrating the latch device with an actuating mechanism for a display member for a device provided to be opened/closed with respect to a main body like the opening/closing door of an electrophotographic copying machine. CONSTITUTION:An arm for locking 1 is installed on a handle provided in a member such as the opening/closing door through a supporting shaft 2, and an electrode member 3 is arranged at a part locked in the pin member of the arm for locking and connected to an earth line 4. The pin member 5 provided on the main body side of an equipment is constituted of a conductor, and the circuit of a detecting device 6 is connected to the pin member 5. Then, in a state where the arm 1 is accurately locked in the pin member 5, a current does not flow to the display member such as a lamp, etc., and that the latch device is normally actuated is displayed. When the arm for locking is separated from the pin member, the current flows to the lighting circuit of the lamp, and that the latch device is released is displayed. |
