PURPOSE:To improve an extended data guarantee system for a personal computer and the performance of operation at the time of using an extended memory. CONSTITUTION:An I/O tracing register 3 for storing the most significant address used for reading/writing of an extended memory in the personal computer while updating the address is arranged as one of registers in a central processing unit (CPU). During the interruption of processing, an I/O tracing processing part 4 stores the most significant address based upon an instruction applied from a resuming function, a data checking part 5 checks data from the least significant address up to the most significant address and a checked result judging part 6 stores the checked result. At the time of restarting the processing, the processing part 4 executes the same processing as that executed before the interruption of processing based upon an instruction applied from the resuming function and checks coincidence between the checked result stored in the judging part 6 and a checked result obtained by restarting. |
