PURPOSE:To cut off a flow of gas at the time when leakage of gas is detected by connecting a gas meter which contains a cutoff valve for controlling a flow of gas, and a gas leakage alarm by radio. CONSTITUTION:In the gas meter system consisting of a gas meter 10 having a cutoff valve for controlling a flow of gas, and an alarm 20 having a gas leakage detecting means, and also, for cutting off the cutoff valve of the gas meter, when leakage is detected, this gas meter system is provided with a radio receiving part 11 and a radio transmitting part 21, on the gas meter 10 side and the alarm 20 side, respectively, and transmits a gas leakage signal of the alarm 20 to the receiver 11 of the gas meter 10 by a radio signal. |
