PURPOSE:To provide an electronic component including a PbTiO3-based dielectric film with high permittivity and excellent characteristics in insulation. CONSTITUTION:An electronic component has a substrate with a conductive surface and a Pb1+xTiO3 crystalline film (0.4<=x<=0.8) formed on the substrate. In addition to this case, the electronic component has a substrate with a conductive surface and a Pb1+xTi1-yBiyO3 crystalline film (0.4<=x<=0.8, 0.2<=y<=0.4) formed on the substrate.
