PURPOSE:To utilize a transponder of a communication satellite effectively and to execute individual communication, multiple address communication and diversified communication service efficiently with simple configuration. CONSTITUTION:The satellite communication system in which plural earth stations make inter-communication via a communication satellite is provided with an individual communication network 20 executing 1:1 individual communication, a multiple address communication network 30 executing 1:N multiple address communication, and a line control station 40 executing line connection control in the individual communication and the multiple address communication and the line control station 40 makes a demand assign to an active line under the unitary control to satellite lines on a line connection request from a transmission station in the individual communication and the multiple address communication. Preferably the transmission station executes the selection of individual communication/multiple address communication by a dial number, selection of usual multiple address communication/emergency multiple address communication, selection of an individual called station and a multiple address communication reception station group on a line connection request. Furthermore, preferably the transmission station uses a dial number to select a type of multiple address communication signal for voice, facsimile equipment and data or the like to each called station of the multiple address communication reception group after line connection. |
