The unit consists of two main plates (100,200) one provided with a hole (102) and the other with the indentation of a nut (202). They are connected by a spring joining piece (300) which is made up of a first segment (310) and a second segment (330). The second main plate (200) is connected onto the second segment (330) by the intermediary of a joining piece (500) which is incurved in a direction from the first main plate (100). An auxiliary plate (400) is situated between the two main plates (100,200), joined to the piece (500) in the neighbourhood of the end of the second segment (330) so that it extends parallel to the first main plate (100) and then has its end folded towards the nut. Use/Advantage - As a pinch nut fixed to a plate containing a through hole for the fixing of a panel to it where the design of the nut allows for any reduction in thickness of the plate due to plastic flow without any reduction of the clamping force exerted by the fixing screw.
