PLUG AND JACK TYPE OPTICAL AND ELECTRIC COMMON USE TRANSMISSION DEVICE

PURPOSE:To enable connection to an existing electric plug and to unify input/ output terminals into one system. CONSTITUTION:An optical fiber plug is made to resemble an outer shape of an extisting small single head type electric plug. An insertion hole 36 for common insertion of plural kinds of plugs is formed in a holder pair 25. An optical semiconductor element 22 is arranged at a deep part of the insertion hole 36 while an electric connection terminal 24 is arranged in the inner circumference of the insertion hole 36. The electric connection terminal 24 is provided with elasticity and engaged with a constriction of a plug so as to prevent slip-out of the plug.
