PURPOSE:To provide the portable small sized receiver and the external antenna system in which power consumption of an internal power supply is saved and a high reception sensitivity is obtained even when the receiver is mounted on a human body. CONSTITUTION:The portable small sized receiver (pager receiver) 10 is provided with a power supply changeover circuit 15 selecting either a power of an internal power supply 14 or an external power from a power input terminal 13 and an antenna changeover circuit 17 selecting a reception signal of an internal antenna 16 or an external antenna reception signal from signal input terminals 11a, 11b. The external antenna system 20 is provided with a power supply 24 outputting power via a power output terminal 23 and an antenna 26 outputting a reception signal via signal output terminals 21a, 21b. When the pager receiver 10 is removed from a human body, a reception signal of a power antenna 26 of the power supply 24 connected to the external antenna 20 via terminals 11a-21a, 11b-21b and 13-23 is used. |
