PURPOSE: To provide stereo reproduction which can give an acoustic image narrower than the interval between loudspeakers. CONSTITUTION: A signal processor 10 exalts the acoustic image of stereophonic signals providing the oscillation of the interference between the outputs 24 and 26 of the left and right channels by cross-supplying the high-pass part of the left channel to a right output and a similar part of the right channel to a left output. It is suitable to install a high-pass filter to a cross-supply path 28 so as to remove the cross-supply of low-frequency components which are monaurally reproduced sometimes in a prerecorded material. The low-frequency components added to the cross-supplied signals are compensated by filtrating the components through inclined filters respectively introduced to the channel inputs and the power of the components is boosted, resulting in the channel outputs 24 and 26. |
