PURPOSE:To provide a photometry device for a camera by which an accurate photometric value is obtained in the same manner as ordinary photographing even in the case of trimming photographing without lowering the luminance limit value of photometry at the time of low luminance as for a single lens reflex camera capable of switching visual field within a finder in an ordinary photographing mode and a trimming photographing mode for a standard image frame size. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with a finder state setting means 4 capable of setting transmissivity in a finder range other than finder visual field corresponding to an image frame area utilizing printing when the trimming photographing mode is set to at least two states, a photometry means 8 disposed in a finder optical path and measuring a light quantity transmitted through the finder set by the means 4, a storage means storing at least one output from the means 8 in accordance with the finder state, and a photometric value calculation means calculating the photometric value of the image frame area based on the value stored in the storage means, or the value stored in the storage means and the value measured the means 8. |
