PURPOSE:To obtain an information reproducing device utilizing tracking error signals obtained from entire track areas substantially and improving influence to a producing signal to a track bend. CONSTITUTION:A tape 8 formed with a track containing a tracking pilot is scanned by a head 1 and a reproducing signal is outputted. A tracking error signal is generated from the reproducing signal by a tracking error detection circuit 2. The correction amount of a tracking position according to a track bend pattern is detected from the tracking error signal in the track by a correction amount detector 3. A head-track positional relation is controlled according to the corrected tracking error signal imparted from a synthesizer 12 by a tracking control means 14. Thus, the lowering of a reproducing signal amplitude occurring due to the track bend is suppressed by optimizing a tracking position, and the dignity in the reproducing signal is enhanced.
