ATTACHING/DETACHING DEVICE OF CABLE DRUM FOR CABLE LAYING CAR

PURPOSE:To attach or detach a cable drum to and from a support device rapidly and positively. CONSTITUTION:A fixed post 3 and a drive post 4 are provided on a loading platform 1 so that they face each other and a saddle for lifting a cable drum D is provided between both so that they are elevated or lowered freely by a hydraulic mechanism. A through shaft 20 is fitted to the center of the cable drum D. The cable drum D is placed on a saddle and is lifted to a specific position, the through shaft 20 is lowered onto V-shaped recessed parts 34a and 35a of positioning blocks 34 and 35 for positioning, and a spline shaft 24 is allowed to protrude from the hydraulic mechanism. The spline shaft 24 is engaged to the spline engagement part 24 of the through shaft 20 and at the same time a sliding shaft 22 is pushed out and then is inserted into a bearing 31 of the fixed post 3. When the spline shaft 24 is pushed in. the slide shaft 22 is restored by a spring, thus removing the cable drum D.
