<p>PURPOSE:To easily discriminate whether a host apparatus is initialized or not by detecting that the contents of a managing data storing area is changed from a state having data in at least one of respective reference areas to a state having no data in all the reference areas to-judge initialization. CONSTITUTION:An EEPROM 19 is connected to a microcomputer 16, header data are written in the EEPROM 19 and normal data are written in an EEPROM 13. A function that the contents of the storage area 19 for an MAT area corresponding to a cluster are rewritten to '00h' when the cluster in the ROM 13 is erased is utilized. Thereby the microcomputer 16 can easily judge the initialization of the host apparatus by detecting a change from a state in which at least one of all the MAT area storing areas 19 is not '00h' to a state indicating that all the storing areas 19 are '00h'.</p> |
