PURPOSE:To provide a signal generator able to generate a correction signal for convergence and an on-screen character signal corresponding to the scanning frequency with respect to the signal generator for a color television receiver. CONSTITUTION:The generator is provided with a scanning line number detection section 2 detecting number of scanning lines from a synchronizing signal, a convergence memory 3 storing convergence correction data, an OSD memory 5 storing on-screen display data, an interpolation processing section 4 applying interpolation processing in the vertical direction of output data from the memory in response to a detection signal from the scanning line number detection section 2 and a frame memory 6 reading continuously data corresponding to each scanning line interpolated by the interpolation processing section 4 and detects number of scanning lines, implements vertical processing for the convergence correction data and the on-screen character data to generate a correction signal and a character signal. |
