PURPOSE:To simplify and miniature the entire constitution in an optical angular velocity detector. CONSTITUTION:Laser beams LB1, LB2 propagated in each direction of a ring laser part 2 are taken out by an optical wave guide path 3' which is light- coupled with the ring laser part 2 and sent to a light-receiving part 4, and a laser epitaxial layer being a semiconductor laser structure formed on a substrate 1 is partially etched, whereby the ring laser part 2 is formed. An optical wave guide path comprising a clad layer and a core layer is formed on a laser epitaxial layer in the same substrate so that it may be optically coupled with the ring laser part 2 and separated in the ring laser part 2. |
