PURPOSE:To provide a downsized low cast power supply having simple structure in which higher harmonic components in input current can be reduced together with noises. CONSTITUTION:Energy discharged from a first resonance circuit 13 connected with an inverter circuit 5 resonates with a second resonance circuit 12 to raise the voltage. When energy is fed from a second capacitor C12 to the inverter circuit 5, voltage level of the second capacitor C12 drops and deficiency of energy is supplemented from a first capacitor C11 when the voltage level of the second capacitor C12 drops below the voltage level of the first capacitor C11. Upon discharging energy, the second capacitor C12 is charged by a third capacitor C13. Since charging current containing much third harmonic is not fed from an AC commercial power supply E through a full-wave rectifier circuit 2 but a current is fed from the AC commercial power supply E through a second resonance circuit 12 at all times, the inverter circuit 5 can be fed with an input current containing less third harmonic at high power factor. |
