<p>PURPOSE: To continue the operations of an apparatus for pattery type electronic device for a long time even when voltage drops by the discharge of a battery by controlling the frequency of a clock signal based on the prescribed function of voltage level with the voltage drop of the battery. CONSTITUTION: A type II circuit 111 is driven by a battery 101 and operated corresponding to the clock signal from a constant speed timing source 109. On the other hand, the output of the battery 101 is supplied to a variable speed timing source 102 as well. The timing source 102 inputs the rectangular wave signal of fluctuation frequency proportional to the battery voltage through a level shifter 103 to a type I circuit 105. Therefore, the clock speed of the type I circuit 105 becomes the decrease function of frequency supplied by the timing source 102. With the discharge of the battery 101 and the drop of its voltage, the frequency provided from the timing source 102 decelerates the operating speed of parts at the type I circuit 105 and reduces power consumption. As a result, the service life of the battery 101 is prolonged.</p> |
