<p>PURPOSE:To provide a distributed exchange comprising system capable of comprising a building block with arbitrary size from small capacity to large capacity by combining a module of standard constitution without using a large scale coupling mechanism. CONSTITUTION:An exchange is comprised of a switch control module 1, a call control module 2, and a managing module 3 provided with independent functions. respectively, and each module is connected via at least one or more ATM rings 20. Each module is equipped with a standard processor 10, memory 11, a processor bus 12, an ATM switch 15, a module interface device 16, and a signal processor 17 as standards, and each function can be performed based on the kinds of programs stored in the memory 11. The switch control module 1 can be added via the ATM ring 20 corresponding to the scale of the exchange. Meanwhile, when a small scale mechanism is employed, plural functions can be unified in one module.</p> |
