<p>PURPOSE:To provide an infrared human body detection system which can eliminate misjudgment as to detection of human bodies that results from a fluctuating phenomenon when in use to detect human bodies outdoors. CONSTITUTION:This infrared human body detection system comprises an infrared human body detector K provided crosswise so that a detecting beam forms an approximately horizontal detection area A1, the human body detector K having an infrared detection element for receiving infrared rays radiated from human bodies. In addition to the detection area A1 where the detection beam is approximately horizontal, the infrared human body detector K forms detection areas A2a, A2b where detection beams are inclined downward from the detection area A1, and infrared rays from the plurality of detection areas A1, A2a, A2b are received by the same infrared detection element 1.</p> |
