Tube connection in heat exchanger - has bead on end of tube, to engage into bore in tube base

The tubes (3) of the heat exchanger have at least one bead (6) in the end section (4). This engages positively into the jacket surface of the passage bore (2) in the tube base (1). The bore contains circumferential grooves (5), and the beads engage into these. The bead has a U-shaped cross section with mainly parallel flanks. A separate connection element with connection socket engages into the tube. The socket flange is connected fluid- and gas-proof to the tube base. It engages on a contact face on the bead of the tube. USE/ADVANTAGE - Heat exchanger with tube base made of plastics material is simple and economical to mfr. and has high rigidity with secure sealing.
