A cylinder (3) and a radially spaced bearing support (5) are mounted concentric with the gear input shaft. Between the inner face (15) of the cylinder and outer face (17) of the bearing support and two axially spaced guide rings (19,21) is a pressure chamber (23). The first guide ring (19) is held locally fixed in the end area of the cylinder facing the friction clutch whilst the second guide ring (21) is set locally fixed on the end area of the bearing support remote from the friction clutch. At least one guide ring is made from anti-friction material. The inner face of the cylinder can be formed by a cylindrical through bore (15) and the outer face of the bearing support runs cylindrical. A sealing ring such as a lip seal is connected in front of the guide ring on its side facing the pressure chamber. USE/ADVANTAGE - Release system for vehicle friction clutch.
