The hydraulic safety-circuit has a first junction (16) to a supply pipe. Between the junction and the haemodialysis unit (10) are a first stop valve (22) and a branch pipe (34), which can be flushed with cleaning fluid and/or disinfectant via a second junction (46). Between the first junction and the first stop valve is a second stop valve, preventing flow from the unit to the supply pipe, acting as a non-return valve, a buffer chamber (24) being formed between it and the first stop valve. A system (36,54,62) supplies a set pressure to the chamber, to which a pressure-detector (I) is connected. The signal from the latter is fed to an evaluation unit (28). USE/ADVANTAGE - Hydraulic circuit for haemodialysis unit gives very high degree of safety, and no need to detach unit from supply pipe during disinfection.
