Equipment for controlling air flow to and from a suction head on a high speed machine comprises a three-way valve (1) with first (6'), second (12) and third (11) channels. The first channel (6') is connected to the suction head (5), the second channel (12) to the vacuum pump, the second (12) and third (11) channels alternately to the first channel (6') and the third channel to an air pump. An air reservoir and pressure regulator are located between the third channel (11) and the air pump. A manometer is connected to the air reservoir. USE/ADVANTAGE - On high speed machinery, esp. for processing foils which are to be welded into cylindrical bodies, esp. cans. Simple construction, is inexpensive and easy to mfr.
