The bearing (8) which is seated in a bore of the outer articulated forks contains a mushroom-like hemisphere (1) which has in the centre a bore (2) for holding a ball-like pivot (3) which is formed in the centre of a movable round disc (4) which has a guide between two pipe sections (5) which are connected by a socket sleeve (6). The bearing (8) can be reinforced or replaced by a ball bearing (7). The distance between the two cross joints (10) can be altered by inserting spacer rings (9). USE/ADVANTAGE - During rotation of the cardan shaft the hemispheres, movable round disc and guides no longer co-rotate thereby avoiding friction resistance and wear. The component parts are simple and cheap and can be installed by the farmer.
