The two sections are positioned inside each other, forming gaps. The gaps (16) are wedge-shaped, decreasing in size downwards. Each gap contains a wedge (17) with the same wedge angle as the gap, in the area of the screw connection (5,6). Gaps and wedge are asymmetrical. Before the two sections are joint, the wedge is held in an installation position (17') on one section by a securing element. After the section has been positioned, and the element is released, the wedge slides into assembly position (17), due to its own weight. USE/ADVANTAGE - Motor vehicle construction. Automatic tolerance compensation during assembly.
